Parents’ most basic function is to keep their child alive, and that entails feeding. But with each feed the baby takes in far more than nutrients. Where there is food there is attachment. Psychotherapists rarely enquire about clients’ relationship with food unless it is a presenting issue, yet so much of a person’s life can be revealed through exploring what, and how, they feed themselves and others.
This talk will be of use to therapeutic practitioners, but also non-professionals.
